The Manline Team
Our success is attributable to our people.
We strive to attract, retain and grow a competent team of dedicated, creative individuals. Furthermore, we recognise the disparities that exist in the South African workplace and have committed ourselves to making a valid contribution to change. Our empowerment drive is based on three key aspects: black economic
empowerment at all levels, employment equity and social investment programmes.

Employment Equity
Manline recognises the inequalities in the South African workplace, particularly in terms of job functions and income, and is committed to transformation. We embrace the objectives of the Employment Equity Act and the Skills Development Act and are in the process of ensuring a diverse workforce, representative of the climate within which we operate.
Manline follows a non-discriminatory employment policy and ensures that previously disadvantaged individuals are afforded equal opportunities in the workplace. Internally we have identified key areas in which current staff members are afforded the opportunity to gain skills previously not available to them.
Manline\'s commitment to empowerment and transformation extends externally to the suppliers with whom we transact. Where possible, we endeavour to conduct business with local suppliers who, like ourselves, embrace the principles of employment equity, equal opportunity and empowerment.
Black Economic Empowerment
BEE Transport and Logistics group, Lukhanyo, holds 30% of the issued share capital of Manline. Lukhanyo has over 9 years of experience in the transport and logistics industry operating as a fourth party logistics provider in the mining and petrochemicals sectors. Dr Mlungisi Kwini and Dr Miranda Kwini, two of the executive directors of Lukhanyo, sit on the Manline Board of Directors. Mlungisi and Miranda bring a wealth of transport and logistics experience to Manline and they have become invaluable members of the Manline team.
Manline is a BBBEE Level 4 contributor.
Internal Social Investment Programmes
Manline has a HIV/Aids policy and is committed to promoting HIV/Aids awareness, education and non-discriminatory practices. Transport is a notoriously high-risk industry and we have identified the need to ensure that our employees are afforded the best opportunities and education in order to control their risk. Together with our Adult Training, on-site clinic and general training programmes, we educate and facilitate awareness in order to maintain a long-term relationship with staff, promoting tolerance and understanding both in the workplace and socially.
External Social Investment Programmes
As South Africans, it is our duty to provide education, support and hope to those affected by HIV/Aids. At Manline we have acknowledged the need to not only provide for our own staff, but also to identify areas where, through our circle of influence and available resources, we can provide for people in need. In order to find the right projects and NGO’s we have partnered with the Starfish Greathearts Foundation, who assist us in making our resources work for others.
Starfish Greathearts Foundation - www.starfishcharity.org
Starfish exists as a vehicle to mobilise individuals in their various fields of influence to bring hope and opportunity to children orphaned or made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS in South Africa. Their goal is to build a global community of individuals and their institutions who, through their time, talents and resources, aim to secure the future of these children.
