Locations
With our head office in Pietermaritzburg, the fleet operates from depots in Johannesburg, Durban, Empangeni, Kokstad, Pietermaritzburg, Newcastle and East London. We are investigating opening new depots in Mpumalanga and the Western Cape during the 2007/8 financial year.
24-Hour Control Centre
Our Shift Controllers and Fleet Trackers monitor the fleet from our Head Office Control Centre. This assists our drivers in delivering goods on time, with no exceptions.
All vehicles are fitted with real-time satellite tracking and on-board computers. This equipment enables our Fleet Trackers to apply effective route rationalising techniques and maximise vehicle productivity and utilisation. The Control Centre team, state of the art fleet technology and operational processes enable Manline to provide a profitable yet cost effective solution to all our customers.
Customer Call Centre
The call centre allows customers accurate and continuous updates on their cargo movement. The centre also plays a vital role in the communication between our operations and fleet trackers, affording decision makers comprehensive, real-time knowledge of the fleet and the external circumstances that govern their efficiencies. This structure ensures that the correct operational assessments are made and the best solutions delivered in order to maintain customer service levels.
Our Workshop
Manline operates a specialised, MAN Truck & Bus accredited workshop with qualified diesel technicians carrying out all the service and maintenance requirements of the fleet. Available seven days a week, this skilled team ensures downtime is kept to a minimum and that all deliveries are made on schedule, every time.
Our Drivers
All Manline drivers complete our unique Professional Driver Induction and Training programme, giving management the opportunity to formulate and analyse each driver's risk profile and driving pattern. Through this process, weaknesses are identified and corrected before the driver takes to the road. It also ensures that all drivers
are familiar with Manline's procedures, documentation and customer expectations. Through vehicle tracking and on-board computer analysis, drivers are constantly monitored and analysed according to their productivity and driving patterns. Our operations department is assisted through the outsourcing of our risk management and driver analysis to contracted specialists. This process ensures that our drivers receive the best in corrective training methods.
